Raw MDF and bare wood are very absorbent, so they soak up paint and make you use far more than you need. Aquacool Trend MDFix Raw MDF Primer is a water-based primer made to cut that absorbency and build a smooth, full surface before you paint. Applying it first helps you use less topcoat and lowers the overall cost of the project.

How to apply

1. Prepare the surface: it must be completely dry and free of dust.
2. First coat: shake the container well, then apply MDFix with a brush or roller. Apply it undiluted if possible, without adding water.
3. Scuff sand: wait 2 hours, then lightly sand the surface and apply a second coat.
4. Prepare for the topcoat: lightly scuff sand again, wipe off the dust, and wait 3 hours before applying your final paint.

Tip: a fine-grit sanding block works well for the light scuff sanding between coats. Follow with Aquacool Trend MAC Paint for a smooth, even finish.
