Smooth, even prep for a flawless paint finish

This Smirdex foam sanding block has four active abrasive faces and an ergonomic, high-density sponge body. It works on flat and curved surfaces alike, leaving a smooth finish without dips or sanding marks.

Choose your grit

P100 – Medium grit for transitions and corrections
The ideal in-between step after coarse sanding. It removes deeper scratches and gets the surface ready for the next, finer pass. It's essential between layers of filler, after priming, on wood surfaces and for knocking down light paint bubbles or raised spots.
Best for: sanding between filler coats, smoothing after primer, wood surface in-between sanding, removing small paint blemishes.

P150 – Fine grit for final prep before painting
Designed for the last and most important sanding step right before you paint. It removes fine scratches, dust marks and small imperfections so paint can spread and bond evenly. Skip this step and even the best paint can show marks on the surface.
Best for: final prep before the topcoat, sanding between coats, lacquered wood surfaces, finishing drywall and smoothing walls.

Features

  • Four active sides: when one face wears down, rotate the block and keep going, so you get four working surfaces from one block.
  • Ergonomic sponge body: spreads hand pressure evenly, follows curves and edges, and reduces hand fatigue.
  • Durable abrasive coating: designed to wear evenly and produce less dust during use.
  • Versatile: kitchen and bathroom cabinets, interior doors, furniture and other wood surfaces.

Pro tips: prep for Aquacool Trend MAC Paint

  • Raw wood, raw MDF or worn veneer: Aquacool Trend MAC Paint can be applied without sanding, but a light scuff with P150 gives a smoother, factory-style finish. Gently sand, wipe away the dust with a damp cloth, then paint.
  • After priming an absorbent surface such as raw MDF: once the primer is dry, a light pass with P100 removes tiny rough spots and creates a smooth base for your paint. Wipe with a damp cloth before painting.
